Well done! The front page display is great. And your own VR RSS feed...excellent.

    Awesome! Thanks, dandelion.

Looks great. I was kicking dirt about the veganporn.com headlines not being in the margin yesterday. Module rocks!
look at me still talking, when there's science to do
when I look out there it makes me glad I'm not you
I've experiments to run, there is research to be done
on the people who are still alive

    Hi Dandelion,

Thanks for adding the news feature! I like it, but have a question. I personally prefer reading the news by clicking on the News tab at the top of the page and going over to the full listing of news links, as opposed to using the drop-down menu in the little box on the home page. That way I don't have to scroll down or make multiple feed selections to see all the news, plus all the newest posts are right up top for me to see, instead of being pushed down a little by the news box. I know you can just minimize the news box on the home page using the little arrow, but when you refresh or return to VRF later, it doesn't remember that you did that and you have to re-minimize it again.

So my question is whether it would possible to have a setting in our personal preferences where we could opt to have the news box on the home page minimized (or hidden entirely) until/unless we choose to open/view it? I hope this makes some sense. I don't think I am describing it very well.

so basically you're asking is there's a way to personalize the home page or at least minimize the news module and keep it that way. Well currently no, sorry but it's a feature request for the next version. i can perhaps move it under the recent topics module.

I think she's mainly asking if you can store the open/closed state of the front page news window. You gotta be able to do that via some PHP cookie or something? I think the older version you used to run, the whole front page used those toggles and would store the state....

Would also be nice if it remembered the last selection and defaulted to it when you returned to the homepage or opened a new browser
