Rapture nutters to kill pets

So this is seriously messed up. these nutters are talking about killing their pets just before the rapture. What can we do about this?

I know, that's everyone's first response. I was looking for actual things though. Unfortunately most christian will see that service as the joke it is and secondly leaving their pet with an atheist doesn't solve the issue they are concerned about. The pet would still be alive to see and suffer to wrath of god w/ us sinners. So I just don't think they will go for it.

Sad. I don't think there's anything to be done, unless you personally know someone who is planning to do this, in which case a call to the police/SPCA would be in order. If they are getting them put down at a vet, hopefully the vet would take some action to help protect the animals.

Several million dogs and cats are killed annually and legally in the US because puppy mills are legal and profitable and successfully promote people get new pets, instead of adoption recycling/rehoming. I'm more concerned with that than the few that theoretically might be killed by a few odd ball religious fanatics.
