OK, so it's not really meat. It's a lunch-meat substitute that I found on Vegan Dad's blog. (There are other recepes I plan to try soon, too!) It's on the dry side, but it's really tasty. It's a lot like Tofurky, actually. In fact, I may never buy another Tofurkey again. Sorry, Turtle Island Foods. I really like your product and all, but if I can make something from scratch, by golly I'm gonna do it!
My alterations were: a few tablespoons of Bragg's and a few tablespoons of nutritional yeast... because everything is better with nootch.
The recipe uses gluten, but it's different than plain ol' seitan, so I thought I'd start a thread. Anyone else making their own lunch meat?
