Hi,
Well, I guess it started when I was 6 or 7. I stopped killing bugs
around then, and at some point read about how veal was made,
so I stopped eating that too. I've always liked animals, more
than people in most cases. :)

When I was 11, money was short in the family, and my mother
was suggesting my father fish for some extra money. I got
upset, and said I wasn't going to eat ANYTHING. Since that
was a little hard to stick with, I tempered it to "I'm not going
to eat meat". Shortly after that, I chopped eggs from my
diet.

As time went on, I got stricter. Never would eat anything
unless I KNEW it didn't have any meat or egg in it. Stopped
eating cheeses with animal rennet too.

After about 10-11 years of being a vegetarian, I recently
went vegan (finding an edible-tasting soymilk really helped!)
around Christmas last year.

And that's about it.

Hi,
Silk is what I like best. It seems to be the most universally
liked brand, from what I've read. I found some SunSoy or
something like that was good also. Stuff like WestSoy I can't
even drink. It tastes like a big B vitamin pill.

that's cool I'm glad you went vegan. However, I think we should all start eating meat again to show the terrorists they didn't win.

Hi,
Yeah, I'll be sure to get right on that. :P

I'm still working on it. I never liked meat that much from the time I started eating solid foods. I remember my parents feeding me lots of PB&J sandwhiches because I wouldn't eat much meat LOL When I turned 18, my diet consited mainly whole grains, nuts/seeds, fruits/vegetables, soy products and fish/eggs. So I was kind of a semi-vegetarian up until now. I'm 25. I have decided that I wanted to have a vegan diet because I feel it's the right diet for me. I also want to lead more of a pure life showing compassion towards animals. Plus, I like animals better than people.
