Hi all,
My name is Lorin.
When I was younger, I was a vegetarian for about 3 years. I did not take good care of myself for
a while. Finally I woke up. I have been a vegan for about 15 years straight.
I became a vegan for personal health reasons, therefore gradually. One nite while with a
group of friends at a Thai restaurant, someone asked me how I could eat dinner without any meat. I answered,
it's easy, I simply feel better. I then woke up and became an active vegan (finally excluding honey from my diet).
Years ago, most people found veganism as a threat. Today, I am happy that most people are interested, rather than
threatened.
I am happy that I can now find vegan friendly grocery stores right in my own neighborhood. I live in the Chicago Gold Coast,
so if I can shop here, there must be hope for the rest of the city.
That's all for now.
Peace
Lorin
