My boyfriend asked me to marry him today. :happy: We open presents together every Christmas morning and this year, he saved the best present for last. :)
I posted a bit about having problems with him in the past, but lately he has been getting better, and apparently he has been talking to his mom (yes, he's a momma's boy, lol) about our future together, she said some things along the lines of that he told her he realizes what he has and what I mean to him, and they had a long talk about how it's time for him to get his butt in gear (sh!t or get off the pot is how she phrased it, lol) and start ensuring our future. He has been saving over the past year and a half for our house, and has quite a bit of money for that so next year we have it in place that, barring any unforseen malfunction in the plans, we should get a house, get married and start a family. :)
About my being a Vegan, his mom told me he is very proud of me, and today I had some things to do before we went over by his mom's, so he went separate. When he got there, she said he went right into the kitchen and started reading ingredients on some of the food and figuring out what I could eat, and asked that she leave cheese, butter, etc off any food until after I had taken my share, as well as he wrapped my own yam in foil with EB butter and separated it so I knew it was mine. Can you believe that??? I am so proud of him I could just die. :heart:
So, needless to say, I am quite the happy camper these days. :)
Here's a pic of the ring...it is a one carat, round solitaire in white gold, and I love it. :)
