Just to clarify, the toys are organic and wooden... not the kids! Both the toys and the toys can be creative, of course. Anyway, I was just looking at the Atlantis Natural (http://www.atlantisnatural.com) website (I was mainly in the "offer safe toys" section) and thought it might be interesting to parents to people who are relatives or friends of babies and children. So that means almost everyone. :p

They have some great baby toys, including teething toys, and a lot of other stuff for young kids. The prices seem very reasonable, too.

Here's one of my favorites:

I'm also thinking about getting this monster kit for my nephew:

I'm posting this one site, but if you know of another company or site that sells great kids' toys, please post it here!

magiccabin.com (do a search for "wood")
hearthsong.com ( " " )
ecobaby.com (has a wood toy category)

Those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head, from when my son was young.

We had a similar monster-puppet set. My son was probably 3-4. I ended up having to do all the work - make the monster, make them talk to each other, etc. Now that my son's 8 he's only moderately interested.
